Today the Attorney General Alberto "Torture Boy" Gonzalez took aim at the jucicial branch of the United States Government and let fly, in the interest of promoting the imperial presidency of the current occupant. (Consolidate that power for President Hillary, you short-sighted bastards. We'll have the last laugh eventually.)
Mr. Gonzalez is angry at a number of federal judges who have ordered a stop to the warrantless wiretapping program run by the NSA. Federal district judges have ordered an end to the warrantless wiretapping and others have agreed to hear court challenges to it. Opponents contend the NSA program violates the FISA act of 1978 (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.) FISA requires the government to secure a warrant from the FISA court (which convenes in secret, by the way) before wiretapping Americans. BushCrimCo maintains that statute's language be damned, this president has supreme and untimate authority, derived from the Constitution. It is the perogative of the executive to order Americans to be spied on by their government without court permission. Justice lawyers have argued that challenges to the NSA program should be thrown out of court because trials would expose state secrets.
I have an idea - if you don't want your dirty laundry aired in public - follow the fucking rules. I learned that lesson when I was seven. What took these jackasses so long? And by the way, boo-fucking-hoo, Torture Boy.
The reasoned hand of the federal bench is the last hope for American Liberty, and I dare the oily little bastard to make his arguments to Scott Wright or Mike Hogan. He would get his ass handed to him on a platter, and I would buy a ticket to watch that exchange.
