Missouri Supreme Court Upholds Voter Rights

By a 6-1 margin, the Missouri Supreme Court has upheld the decision handed down last month by Cole County Judge Richard Callahan that found the Missouri voter-ID law unconstitutional.

This is a sad day for the state GOP, whose only hope of retaining their tenuous hold on power was to disenfranchise a bunch of voters from the Democratic bastions of St. Louis and Kansas City.

I'm shedding no tears for their failed attempt at a power-grab. the more people who participate in Democracy, the better. Hallelujah! Now I can finish voting and turn in my ballot. I had marked my absentee ballot in all races except the Supreme Court races, waiting for this very decision.
