Appalling Statistics out of Iraq

A team of researchers have conducted a statistical study on the far-reaching mortality effects of the war in Iraq, and the news is sickening.

According to the epidemiological study conducted by researchers from Johns Hopkins and The Lancet, 655,000 Iraqis have died as a result of the war. These numbers encompas not only those who died as a result of hostile action, but those who perished because they were unable to secure adequate care for chronic and accute health problems. The figure of excess deaths is interpolated from an increase in deaths per 1000 polulation from 5.5 before the invasion to 13.3 since.
