Senator Boxer Takes a Stand for Election Integrity

There is an issue on the Senate floor right now that is getting short shrift in the wake of the NIE kerfuffle, and I want all six of my readers to be aware of it.

Senator Barbara Boxer is sponsoring legislation that would reimburse states and counties for the cost of offering a paper-ballot option.

If it were up to me, electronic voting would be legislated out of existence tomorrow. I refuse to vote on a Diebold machine. Instead I vote absentee, and will as long as restrictive voter ID laws are a fact of life and as long as every option in my polling place is a variation of Diebold. I encourage you to do the same.
