King George to Senate Republicans: "If we can't torture, we'll just say 'forget it' and let the terrorists win!"

Well. I guess we better let the GOP have their way. God knows we don't want the terrorists to win. And in the black-and-white, you-are-either-with-us-or-against-us, no room for common sense pseudo-reality that is BushWorld, the president is jutting out his jaw, stamping his wittle foot and threatening to take his ball and go home.

Boo fucking hoo. Three Republicans who actually served their country and didn't whine like little bitches about it oppose torture as a means of intelligence gathering. And aWol says if the CIA can't torture, they may as well stop interrogating.

I don't expect this administration to act with honor or aplomb. It is totally out of character for a bunch of craven miscreants to act honorably. They didn't step up when it was their turn, after all. Bush whined like a little bitch and his daddy got him into TANG and he couldn't even hack it there. (His commander was probably a pretty smart guy - the country was better off when the son-of-a-bitch was in titty-bars snorting blow off a strippers ass.) Vice had "other priorities" although they have never been articulated.

Bush and his ilk say if we act with honor (i.e. refuse to condone torture) the terrorists win so we may as well abdicate all interrogations and surrender.

I call shenanigans. If we condone torture, surrender civil liberties and abdicate responsibility to our heritage and our often-violent history - that is when the "terrorists win."
