Claire and Talent Running Neck-and-Neck

Jesus Christ, there are horse-races all over the place, and I hate gambling.

the latest Pollster.Com poll shows Claire at 46% and Talent at 47%, with a +/- of 1%.

A few days ago, it was reported that Claire was leading by three percentage points in another poll.

Talent has been Running Scared (credit my cousin, a Lakota Sioux, for tagging him with the Indian name) for some time, and it is getting obvious.

First he took forever to decide where he stands on the Stem Cell Initiative that is before Missouri voters this November. (He was waiting to be told where he stands by the RNC, in other words.)

While talent is going from church to church with Alan Keyes, Claire needs to hit him in the values. He voted for the war, and he sits on the Armed Services Committee, but at last count, he had missed 65 of 95 meetings of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Farmers and other rural voters will not be appreciative of this fact, if it is made known. I don't know how many farmers and rural residents are reading Fired Up! Missouri! and Blue Girl, Red State to find this out. We are the only two sources I know of that keep repeating this fact, hoping someone will listen, and that the issue will gain some traction.

Claire needs all the help she can get, including from out of state.

Across the state line, Nancy Boyda is giving the ethically challenged Jim Ryun a run for his money in the Kansas 2nd (Jim Slattery's old district) with a strong grass-roots campaign and no help from the DCCC.

Also in Kansas, the Paul Morrison and Phill Kline race is running a statistical dead-heat.

So, these are the races and the ballot initiative I am watching as the election draws near.
