Ann Coulter, Terrorist Threat

Okay, I know the woman is unhinged. Her last drop of decency and common sense departed some time back, and she has become a foam-flecked caricature of everything that is wrong with conservatism. Newspapers dropped her column like a bad habit a couple of years ago after she said we should kill all Muslim leaders and convert their masses to Christianity. (Um, we tried that a couple times, Ann. The Crusades ring any bells in that deranged head of yours? Or has peroxide eaten right through your brain?)

But now she just seems pathetic, like the stepchild seeking any attention, even if it’s negative. First she said someone should slip rat poison into Justice John Paul Stevens food. Now she says she regrets not assassinating president Clinton. How is this not sedition at best, and terrorism at worst?

When does a Republican get a sit-down with the secret service for making terroristic threats? The woman is not merely deranged, she is dangerous. I only hope the NSA has been keeping tabs on her. It is high time for a psychiatric competency evaluation, and possibly commitment to an institution. But fortunately, we have now successfully treated a case of rabies (with long-term sedation!) so there is hope.
