Your KC Star Editorial Page Idiot-of-the-Day for Tuesday

Today our Editorial Page Idiot of the Day is one Mike Moddrell of Lawrence, Kansas. Let me share this jokers idiocy with one and all, not just those who get the Star, but first a little background. His Voices comment was in reference to a column by (retired) Colonel George Steger which ran Saturday under the headline Let's admit we made a mistake and clean it up. You know, someone with actual military experience and operational knowledge.

Without further ado, I give you todays Pearl of Idiocy:

Yup. A retired Colonel who knows the score is "negative" because he had the audacity to tell the truth. (Hint: Truth telling is required of Officers, Mike - it's a cornerstone of the Honor Code.)Click the link and read the piece Col. Steger wrote. It isn't negative. It's honest.

Personally, I would rather have a military of truth-tellers than a military of sycophants who would sell out their principles to push the neocon agenda of pre-emptive war. The most political son-of-a-bitch on the planet is a Colonel with Stars in his or her eyes.

We need more truth-tellers like Colonel Pete Devlin and retired Colonel Steger.

Oh, and less idiots. We definitely need less idiots.
