First off, let me say that I take no pleasure in the fact that this country has been brought low. In fact, it pisses me off in the extreme. I want change. And it looks like I just might get it. According to an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, I am not alone.
The President remains mired in the 30's, in fact he lost a point in the most recent poll, dropping from 39% approval to 38%, while 57% openly oppose Bush's policies, and 5% are undecided. The war is officially out of favor, with 68% opposing the U.S. efforts in Iraq and only 20% feeling like progress in being made.
But the biggest shocker was in just how far the opinion of congress has spiraled. Fully 75% disapprove of the congress as we know it, and only 14% feel that continued Republican control would be best for the nation.
The tsunami is crashing ashore folks. And this time it isn't my boat getting smashed to splinters. If we are going to be painfully honest - the R's have it coming, just like we did in 1994.
