Today is International Mole Day. In honor of this, I decided to share with you my all time favorite cartoon, from the mind of the incomparable Sid Harris. It is on the wall of the lab where I guide students in the hands-on phase of chemistry, and keep my eye open for flickering lightbulbs to come on above their heads. In honor of International Mole Day, let me remind one and all not to feel too damned special. Everyone has Avogadro's Number.
