I'm Taking My Cues from the Big Dog

No more Ms. Nice Guy. When somebody says something stupid, disingenuous, conflated or flat-out wrong, I am speaking up. We have been silent and accomodating too long, and part of this current mysery we find originated with us, because we didn't speak up sooner. We rolled our eyes, and we discussed among ourselves the discomfort we felt at where we were headed - but too few of us remained steadfast in the face of unpopularity, so responsibility was abdicated in favor of "getting along in a time of war."

And look what it got us?

We let the Publicans frame the debate and cast doubt on the patriotism of those who questioned. We have to take responsibility for that now, and promise it will never happen again. Then we need to see that it doesn't.
