Claire Wins "PAC for Change" Vote

Claire McCaskill was the winner of an online vote, asking visitors to the site to vote for their favorite on a list of Democratic challengers to determine which candidate would get help from Barbara Boxer's PAC for Change. This is good news for Claire as she pulls away from Jim Talent in the polls. A big thank you goes to the folks over at Fired Up! Missouri for getting the word out about the internet vote so we could go on over and do our part. We did, and now our candidate is going to get some critical support as she heads into the post-primary push with a lead that just exceeds the margin of error.

Missouri deserves better than Talent, who has spent the past four years since he won a special election in 2002, voting the way the Bush administration wanted him to 94% of the time. We deserve better representation than he has given us. We deserve leadership, we deserve competence, we deserve someone who has rooted out waste, fraud and abuse. We deserve someone with a proven record of service to the citizens of the state. We deserve Claire McCaskill as our next Senator.
