House Takes ANWR Drilling off the Table

I have very few details and will be updating as I know more, but apparently the Tuesday elections were a wake-up call to our representatives, who must stand for election every two years.

With coast-to-coast rebukes of Republican policy on Tuesday, apparently congress took a hard left toward the middle on Wednesday. George Bush never has to face an electorate again, and these guys do every two years, the next time one short year from now. And they can't keep their angry constituents away from campaign events like he did last year.

Aparently ANWR, one of the last truly wild places in the United States is safe for now. I have provided the link to the ANWR blog. I am sure they will have up-to-the-minute information available very shortly...Like as soon as they wake up and hear the news.
