Another Salvo Fired at Missouri's Poor and Rural Women

Follow the bouncing ball. Missouri cut 1.1 billion from the budget of a poor state a year ago. Social services were the biggest losers. Child care subsidies, foster grandparents, Medicaid…All were slashed by the budget axe. Such folly is why Matt “The Boy Blunder” Blunt is hovering around a 30% approval rating.

Now this!

“The Missouri House voted Wednesday to ban state funding of contraceptives for low-income women, and to prohibit state-funded programs from referring those women to other programs.”

So we have compulsory pregnancy in South Dakota, and the next best thing in Missouri, when county departments of health can’t give birth control or contraceptive advice. What year did I wake up in this morning?

Ladies, we need to wake the fuck up, and we need to band together. There are more women than men, and more men who see things our way than there are women willing to betray their own gender. These assaults against half the population can not be allowed to stand.
